I have four great passions in my professional work as an artist: painting, printmaking, teaching and organising exhibitions for my gallery, Libran Dogma .
Painting
Landscapes, imagined or real, are the starting point for most of my paintings, my sense of place.
Printmaking
I love experimenting with various techniques and processes Each of my prints is unique, even when I am using the same plate. I don't make editions because the pleasure in printmaking for me is the exploration and surprise rather than a reproduction of an earlier sucess.
Teaching
With friend and colleague Jennifer Koch, I teach acrylic painting to relative beginners every Wednesday afternoon and evening at the Old Cheese Factory, Berwick. We call ourselves the Patmos Painters.
I also conduct workshops in printmaking and acrylic painting here at my studio. Usually in the January holidays, then Saturdays throughout July as part of the Winter Arts program and on Friday or Saturday mornings throughout the year, as required. Let me know if you are interested in joining us.

This small gallery for emerging artists was once my spare bedroom. Since May 2006, it has been transformed every month with another new exhibition - from painting to printmaking, sculpture, photography and jewellery. |
